Yesterday we said goodbye to our 18 year old sit on mower. Although it was well overdue it was a pretty spontaneous buy. The yearly maintenance costs were more than the value of the mower and as we are being organised during ‘confinement’ we asked the local garage what he could find for us – with a preloved reconditioned mower in our minds. He arrived yesterday with a brand new one on a trailer never had a blade of grass in its collector box and of course a salesman in tow. It was love at first sight. As we haven’t had the pleasure of shopping for a while thanks to lockdown we said yes (with a silent scream handing over the cheque). So guess what Pete is doing today……..
